project Summary:
The new Bethel Park High School opened on January 30, 2012, eight months ahead of schedule. The High School received three Green Globe certifications due to the many energy efficient and environmentally friendly components. Daylight harvesting, as well as efficient light fixtures and mechanical systems, fully supported the effort. Sustainable design features include a white roof, building acoustics, natural daylight and exterior wall assembly and insulation. As a result, energy costs were reduced due to the improved thermal performance of the building.
The design also included a full television studio and recording studio capable of recording from any classroom, auditorium, or recording booth. Clista coordinated classroom audio/visual systems including interactive projectors and classroom sound system. In addition, we installed an electronic bulletin board system, with interactive controls for students to view content.
Clista was recognized as a MBA Building Excellence Winner because of our intuitive design and expert management with regarding to enery efficiency and sustainability on this project.
